At TASK we have two streams of training for Idiopathic Scoliosis: Adult/Mature & AIS Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis.

Both are described as a torsional deformity of the spine, which combines a translation and rotation of a variable number of vertebrae, changing the 3D geometry of the spine.

ADOLESCENT IDIOPATHIC SCOLIOSIS

Both are described as a torsional deformity of the spine, which combines a translation and rotation of a variable number of vertebrae, changing the 3D geometry of the spine.

Most scoliosis starts in adolescence and if you or your child are lucky enough to be aware of any curvature development early, by having an assessment with a knowledgeable practitioner, you can directly affect the progress of certain curves through the use bracing and/or Scoliosis-Specific Exercise Training (SSET).

Training will give children tools to help strengthen themselves through their growth spurts and beyond. They will have the skills to sustain healthy active living as they enter adulthood, and the knowledge to make wise choices with their bodies.

ADULT SCOLIOSIS

Adult scoliosis is something that may or may not have affected the quality of your life until now. Most adults have acquired layers of muscle patterns that help compensate for mis-alignment and muscle weakness.

TASK offers Scoliosis-Specific Exercise Training (SSET) especially designed for adults. This includes release work, breathing and elongation techniques and muscle re-balancing.

Our training will help you release non-optimal patterns and build awareness and strength to support your unique frame.
